What personal information is collected?
If you choose to subscribe to my mailing list, you will be asked to provide your email address. If you use the contact form to send me a communication, you will be asked for a name and an email address.
Non-personally identifiable information on numbers of visitors to the site and how they came to the site may be collected by Wix. I can access this data but, again, cannot tell who the visitors to the website are. This remains true even if you go on to submit your personal information via subscribing to my mailing list or sending me a communication through the contact form.
How is that information stored?
I run my mailing list through Wix, so all email addresses collected are stored securely through Wix. If I ever export them to switch to another service, I will inform all subscribers before switching providers and will allow you the opportunity to have your information deleted and not moved to the new server.
How long do I keep your information?
As long as you remain an active subscriber. At least three times a year, I check for unsubscribers and delete their information from my list of subscribers. Once you unsubscribe, you will immediately cease receiving communications from me. If you would like your information immediately deleted from my mailing list, that does document users who unsubscribe, you may email me and I will immediately delete your email address.
How do I use your information?
To send periodic emails (generally only when there is news to share about new releases, sales, upcoming books, or new free stories).
Depending on the settings of your email provider, Wix may gather information on whether you open my emails or click on links within them. I cannot see which links individual email addresses click.
Newsletter
By subscribing to my newsletter, you agree to receive periodic emails from me with information on new releases, sales, free book opportunities, and more. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the UNSUBSCRIBE link included in each newsletter or the one potentially provided at the top of the email by your email provider.
I use Wix as my email marketing platform. By subscribing to my newsletter, you acknowledge your provided information will be transmitted to and stored by Wix, monitored and managed by me, and that Wix has its own privacy policies which can be found on their website.
Do I use ‘cookies’?
Yes. Basically, all websites use cookies, though you can adjust which cookies are used by updating your permissions on individual websites. Cookies are small files sent to your browser from a website you visit. If you allow cookies, they enable the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. They do not provide access to your computer or any files stored on it.
The law states that cookies may be stored on your device if they are ‘strictly necessary’ for the operation of this site. For all other cookies you may opt-in/opt-out.
Third-Party Disclosure
I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except as designated in this Privacy Policy. I may release information if required to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect my or others’ rights, property or safety.
However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies and I have no control how your information is used on those sites. Your cookie choices on this website do not impact your cookie settings on those third-party sites.
